About me
From Colombia to Mexico and the United States

My personal and academic journey has taken me across countries, ecosystems, and research traditions. Along the way, fieldwork, teaching, and quantitative ecology have shaped both my professional identity and my way of seeing the world.

01

Colombia

I trained as a biologist in Colombia, where I first developed my interest in wildlife, natural history, and ecological research. My early experiences in the field shaped the way I approach ecology today: with curiosity about organisms, landscapes, and the questions that connect them.

02

Mexico

My graduate training in Mexico was a defining stage in my development as an ecologist. During my M.Sc. and Ph.D., I deepened my work on mammals, camera trapping, species interactions, and quantitative ecology, while also building lasting collaborations and friendships.

03

United States

I currently work as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Stephen F. Austin State University, where I continue developing research in wildlife ecology, mentoring students, and teaching quantitative and field-based methods. This stage has expanded my work into new systems, collaborations, and applied conservation questions.
